Step 2: Communicate Details about Your Fiancé

Next, note details about what you admire about your fiancé.

Ask yourself some questions to help get the creative juices flowing:

  • How is your fiancé different than other people you know?

  • Why are you choosing to marry your fiancé?

  • What are your favorite characteristics about this person?

Step 3: Communicate Details About Your Relationship

What do you love about your relationship? In this next section, express how you feel about your special bond.

For example, how have you changed as a person since meeting your fiancé? How is your relationship special? What do you value most about the two of you together?

Allow these questions to help inspire this section of your vows.

Step 4: List Your Promises

The heart of your vows will be the promises you make to your fiancé.

Try to include three to five promises.

To think of promises you’d like to include, here are some questions you can ask yourself.

  • How will I show support?

Step 5: Close with a Love Note
