Jane the Virgin: Wedding Vows for Jane and Rafael

For all of my Jane the Virgin fans, remember how we didn’t get to hear what Jane and Rafael said to each other in their vows during the final episode of the series?

Well, as a professional vow writer, I couldn’t help but dream up what these two romantics might say to each other on their wedding day.

The wait is over, friends. We can finally hear what Jane Villanueva and Rafael Solano would have recited to each other under that symbolic tree during their wedding ceremony.

Here are wedding vow examples I wrote for Jane and Raf. These vows are inspired by the characters from Jane the Virgin and are simply what I imagine they might have said.

Rafael, 

When we first met, you told me to be brave. 

And when I look back on my life...my bravest moments...the moments where I’m my happiest, where I feel like my truest self...those are the moments that you were there, by my side, showing me how to be brave and inspiring me to be brave when I had doubts, when I had fears, and when I felt lost. 

As I stand here in front of you today, everything feels exactly right and like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be because when I think about family...you’re who I see, Raf. And I’m sure...more sure than I’ve ever been about anything that I want to be with you...forever. 

You’re my now. You’re my tomorrow. You’re my always. 

I promise to keep choosing you every single day, for the rest of our lives. 

I promise to be brave. 

I promise that this wedding isn’t the end...our story is just beginning. 

Raf, how did I get so lucky to have you as my accidental artificial inseminator...and now as my husband? 

I love you so much. You are my future...there is no one else it could be.

Jane, 

I always knew you were worth waiting for. 

When my hand slips into yours, it fits so perfectly.  

When you give me one of your Jane-pep-talks, I feel deeply supported.

And when I kiss you, Jane...it feels like coming home. 

I have never felt this way about anybody...in my entire life. 

I promise to always encourage you to be your bravest self, to take risks, and to live out your passions. 

I promise to build a life for us that’s focused on love more than money and being a team more than being on my own. 

I promise to put our family, your dreams, and our love first. 

Everything I’ve always been looking for is standing right in front of me. Maybe we had to go on this whole crazy journey just to find our way back to each other.
